This Cancellation Refund & Returns Policy applies to purchases made through santoshpathak.in.

Because the Website sells both printed books and digital/eBook products, the cancellation and refund rules differ for the two types of products.

1. Cancellation of Printed Book Orders

A customer may request cancellation of a printed book order before the order has been dispatched.

Cancellation requests should be sent as soon as possible with:

  • Order number;

  • Customer name;

  • Registered email/mobile number; and

  • Reason for cancellation, if applicable.

Once an order has been dispatched, cancellation may not be possible.

If cancellation is accepted before dispatch, the eligible amount will be refunded through the original payment method or another appropriate method.

2. Cancellation of eBook Orders

Because an eBook is a digital product, an order may be cancelled only before digital delivery/access/download has been initiated.

Once an eBook has been:

  • Made available in the customer’s account;

  • Delivered through a download link;

  • Downloaded; or

  • Accessed through an online reader,

the order will generally not be eligible for cancellation or refund, except where required by applicable law or where the digital product is defective, inaccessible or materially different from the product described.

3. Refund for Damaged Printed Books

If a printed book arrives damaged, the customer should contact us within 24 hours of delivery with:

  • Order number;

  • Photographs of the damaged book and packaging; and

  • A brief description of the problem.

After verification, we may provide a replacement or refund, as appropriate.

4. Wrong or Missing Product

If the customer receives a wrong book or an item is missing from the order, please contact us as soon as possible, preferably within 24 hours of delivery.

After verification, we may arrange replacement, delivery of the missing item or an appropriate refund.

5. Defective or Unreadable eBook

If an eBook file or digital access supplied by us is technically defective or cannot reasonably be accessed because of an issue attributable to us, the customer should contact us with details of the problem.

We will first make reasonable efforts to resolve the access or technical issue.

If the issue cannot reasonably be resolved, we may provide a replacement copy, restore access or issue an appropriate refund.

6. Change of Mind

Change-of-mind refunds are generally not available for eBooks after digital delivery/access/download has begun.

For printed books, change-of-mind cancellation is subject to the order not having been dispatched and the terms applicable to that order.

7. Failed Delivery / Returned Parcel

If a printed-book order is returned because of:

  • Incorrect or incomplete address;

  • Incorrect phone number;

  • Customer refusal to accept the parcel;

  • Customer not being available despite delivery attempts; or

  • Other reasons attributable to the customer,

the refund, if any, may be processed after deduction of applicable shipping, return-shipping or other non-recoverable charges.

A re-shipment may also be offered subject to applicable delivery charges.

8. Refund Processing

Once a refund is approved, we will initiate it within a reasonable period.

The time taken for the amount to appear in the customer’s account may depend on the payment gateway, bank or card issuer.

Refunds will generally be made to the original payment method used for the purchase.

9. Promotional Offers

Products purchased under special promotional offers, bundles, discounts or other campaigns may be subject to additional conditions stated at the time of purchase.
